Step 1: Fully extend the cylinder, clean the grease off with a napkin the chair onto its side.
Step 2: Attach the small solid ring(no side screw holes)close to the mechanism. This collar must be loose, able to slide up and down.
Step 3: Attach the small ring with holes on the side, Ensure this is screwed tight, It must not able to move.
Step 4: Insert the long screws into the holes one the side of the cuff from the bottom up. Tighten evenly and alternately. This will push the top collar up and detach the gas cylinder from the mechanism.
Step 5: Takethe tools away.
Step 6: Carefully pull the gas lift out.
