Young 65 year old guy, 99kgs with permanent back issues from a road collision who still enjoys racing games. My old chair needed to go, after several hours playing on the PC, it was uncomfortable giving me more back pains.
After reading several reviews on various chairs, I chose the Boulies master chair and since I overheated with the previous PU leather chair, I opted for the material, it was within my budget and ticked all the boxes for me.
When the chair arrived, the plastic components were damaged from transportation, I immediately contacted the company. Without question, all the parts were replaced and sent out. So 5 stars for customer service.
The chair was easy to build, all the tools required were supplied and the instructions was simple to follow.
The master chair sear pad is very comfortable to sit on, not to soft or too hard, and I love how your legs are supported. The backrest is firm, but not uncomfortable. The armrests can be moved to various positions, very handy if your using a steering wheel so your arms aren't touching the armrests.
The dislikes;
The hydraulic piston when mounted is very close to the ground, I changed my wheels for flat castor so that my chair wouldn't move when pressing hard on the brakes, leaving the piston touching the floor. For me this was not an issue, but may be for some people, since I play mainly racing games, my chair stays in the same position, which meant leaving an extra dent on the rug.
The rocking motion when locked, still rocks slightly, personally, I would prefer no rocking when locked.
The built in lumber support, has two adjustments up/down and in/out. The up/down I could not feel any difference in my back, the in/out is very minimal, and this for me i would of given 5 stars.
The niggles aside, the chair is well worth the money, quality materials and very well built. I can sit comfortably for hours, back pains have lessened, and material keeps my body cooler.
