I wouldn't say I sat down and immediately thought this was the most comfortable chair ever. It needed setting up properly first. The backrest was too low for me out of the box, and I hadn't realised I could change the angle of the lumbar support as well. Once I'd adjusted those, it felt like a different chair. I can sit back and get on with work rather than keep shifting around trying to find a comfortable spot. The mesh is pleasant to sit on and doesn't have that deep, squashy feel you get with thick cushions. That suits me. The controls took a little learning, so the instructions stayed on my desk for the first few days. Don't need them now, and I rarely change anything apart from the recline.

Footrest gets used most during my work breaks. Pull it out, lean back and watch something to unwind, beats dragging another chair over to put my feet on. It slides away underneath afterwards and doesn't get in the way when I'm back at the desk.

Arm pads deserve a mention. They've got a little padding on the surface, so resting my elbows on them doesn't feel like leaning against the edge of a desk. I've lowered them and angled them slightly inward for typing. Since I spend a lot of time typing, I need armrests that feel solid and stay in place, and these do just that. They don't wobble around when I rest my arms on them. The rest of the chair is comfortable too, and the built-in footrest is nice when I want to put my feet up and relax for a bit.

The mesh feels softer than it looks in the photos. Still supportive, just not that stiff, plasticky material I was expecting. Doesn't get unpleasantly warm after an afternoon at the desk either.

I'm quite long in the leg, so being able to move the seat forwards really matters to me. Gives me a bit more support under my thighs without having to change the height every time. I wouldn't go back to a fixed-depth seat now.

Overall, it's a comfortable chair, and the lumbar is pretty good too. I'd say it's a good fit for someone with a tall and slim build.
